You can pause the instant updates feature in Enscape and resume a little later after you made all the changes while in Revit you have to send back to the cloud each time you want it to update and it can take a couple of minutes. Enscape uses Revit families and materials as a base, however it does provide a growing cloud-based library of higher-quality assets for rendering that can be downloaded. Being able to send views to the cloud allows you to continue working while in Enscape you have to wait for it to update after each change even if they aren’t in the view. Basically, Enscape is a sort of fancy rendering window, in this case, for Revit. I've also been looking at BIM Box, but they are pretty expensive, and maybe overkill. That said, we have some 4k+ Alienware laptop for use with Enscape+SketchUp, and there is little to no difference compared to the 2,300 Asus when using Enscape. The great thing with Enscape is that it renders instantly and updates changes as they are made. Our budget is anywhere from 2k-3k+, so no afraid to spend a bit to get great performance. This was helpful to see how materials were working with each other and in the spaces.
